Are you going to Moldova on your own?

Are you going to Moldova on your own?

No, of course not! Everything is easier in a team, and that is why we are going to Moldova with "OM". You may have read the acronym somewhere on our blog or website. Here we introduce you to the exciting relief organization we will be traveling with in Moldova.

Who is OM?

OM Switzerland (Operation Mobilization) works to ensure that people receive education, experience help and find hope. OM is part of the international Christian relief and mission organization founded in 1957. Today, more than 5,500 employees work in over 110 countries and on one ocean-going vessel. All employees finance their own wages through donations.

Education

OM helps to give people access to education and supports many projects from kindergarten to school.

Help

With practical help on the ground, OM makes a difference in the everyday lives of many people. Whether that be with care packages, craft support, or fellowship.

Hope

In Moldova there are many people who have never heard of God or live out their faith alone. OM Moldova seeks to support vibrant communities of believers among the least reached.

Deployments with us

OM Moldova offers several two-week “Love Moldova” missions every summer:

  • River Adventure teams travel on a raft to unreached villages along the banks of the Nistru River in northern Moldova.
  • Trekking from village to village or traveling by train, bicycle or horse and wagon.
  • Some teams run children’s camps and do home visits (we did that too)
  • Practical help, such as building a playground.

The best? If you let us know ahead of time that you are coming, we can do the outreach together! We sincerely hope to see you soon in Moldova. Hier gehts zur Anmeldung
